Itinerary
Day 1 Verona
Arrive into Verona and transfer to your hotel before exploring the medieval old town and setting of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.
Day 2 Verona
Lose yourself in Verona’s romantic piazzas and myriad of alleyways before heading to the remarkably well-preserved 1st Century amphitheatre, which still plays host to performances today.
Day 3 Verona to Lake Garda
Pick up your car and drive to Lake Garda, the largest of Italy’s lakes and surrounded by three distinct regions. Lake Garda offers a treasure-trove of wonders to discover, from the rugged wind-ruffled waters in the north to the vineyards and quaint villages of the south.
Day 4 Lake Garda
Visit the laidback, lakeside town of Gardone Riviera. Walk along the picturesque promenade and indulge in a local ice cream while admiring the views. A short walk away lies Gardone Sopra, a charming historic centre with cobbled streets and an ideal setting for an evening meal.
Days 5-6 Lake Garda
With more than 600 miles of walking trails, Lake Garda is the perfect place to enjoy fresh air and stunning natural scenery. After an energising walk, relax at one of themany boutique cafés and be sure to hop on a local ferry to explore the many pretty villages and towns that line the lake.
Day 7 Lake Garda to Lake Como
Leave Lake Garda behind and drive west to picture perfect of the snow-capped Rhaetian Alps and bordered on both sides by steep wooded hills, Como is perhaps the most spectacular of the Italian lakes.
Day 8 Lake Como
Enjoy three full days exploring Lake Como. Picturesque Bellagio is a must do with its iconic waterfront full of bobbing boats, while a local boat tour will offer a unique perspective of the surrounding valleys, villas and villages.
Days 9-10 Lake Como
In the town of Como, visit the imposing Duomo of Como. Further along the west coast lies the 16th Century estate of Villa del Balbianello, surrounded by manicured gardens, unwind and admire the vibrantly coloured medieval buildings of the area.
Day 11 Lake Como to Milan
Take a final scenic drive south to Milan for your flight home.
