Gulf Coasting

Days 1-2  Tampa  
Pick up your car in sunny Tampa, a city with something for everyone. Test your nerve at Busch Gardens theme park, visit the excellent Florida Aquarium, or perhaps step back in time in quirky Ybor City, home to cigar factories, free roaming chickens and the oldest restaurant in Florida!  

Days 3-4  Clearwater Beach  
Next, head to relaxed Clearwater Beach.  The sugar white sands here are regularly voted one of the finest beaches in America and the peaceful ocean reflects aweinspiring sunsets.  

Day 5  Clearwater to St Pete Beach  
Explore nearby Caladesi Island State Park before making the short drive along the barrier islands down to St Pete Beach.  

Day 6  St Pete Beach  
Enjoy the four fabulous miles of beautiful sand that make up this wonderful family orientated resort area or head to downtown St Petersburg, home to a burgeoning collection of galleries including the excellent Dali Museum.  

Day 7  St Pete Beach to Anna Maria Island  
Set out across the spectacular Sunshine Skyway Bridge and over to laidback Anna Maria Island.    

Days 8-9  Anna Maria Island  
Unwind on the pristine beaches of Anna Maria Island. Perhaps rent a kayak or stand up paddle board and watch for dolphins frolicking alongside.

Day 10  Anna Maria Island to Sarasota
Head back on the mainland to smart Sarasota.  

Days 11-12  Sarasota  
Soak up art, music and theatre in Florida’scultural capital, or explore its powdery sand beaches.  

Day 13  Sarasota to Naples  
Journey south towards sophisticated Naples.    

Days 14-15  Naples  
Indulge in the exclusive restaurants and designer shops of 5th Avenue. With its tree lined streets, sidewalk cafés and lively nightlife, this elegant city is the perfect place to enjoy Florida’s refined side.  

Day 16  Naples to Fort Lauderdale    
Head east along Alligator Alley through the midst of the expansive Everglades National Park to your hotel in Fort Lauderdale.  

Day 17  Fort Lauderdale  
Spend your day exploring ‘Venice of America’, where a maze of waterways is lined with shining superyachts, or enjoy a day of relaxation on the golden, palmfringed beach.  

Day 18  Fort Lauderdale to Miami    
Soak up some sunshine before driving to Miami airport on your final evening.
