Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive in New York
Welcome to the Big Apple! You’ll find the city in buoyant spirits as everyone enjoys the atmospheric festive season and all the wonderful attractions that pop up this month. The huge Christmas tree above at the Rockefeller Center charms tourists and locals alike and going for a spin on the ice rink beneath it is a quintessential New York experience.

Day 2 Sightseeing
Whether it’s your first time to the city or you’re a seasoned visitor, New York’s sights are always a treat. The weather will be chilly so wrap up warm as you head out to explore. Tick off bucket-list attractions like the Statue of Liberty and Empire State Building. See the neon lights of bustling Times Square or take your pick from one of the many world-renowned museums, including the Guggenheim. When the sun begins to set, head to the city’s newest observation tower, Summit One Vanderbilt – the spectacular skyline views at this magical time of day are not to be missed.

Day 3 Christmas Shopping
Leave plenty of room in your suitcase as shopping in the Big Apple is legendary! As well as being chock full of fabulous shops, famous Fifth Avenue will delight with its creative winter themed window displays. For department stores you’re spoilt for choice with Bloomingdale’s, Saks, Macy’s and Barneys all ready to entice you. A lovely festive experience is to head to Bryant Park’s Winter Village and sip hot chocolate as you browse the food and gift stalls. Or bargain hunters can head to Woodbury Common Outlets to pick up some great value gifts. In the evening why not treat yourself to seeing a Broadway show or maybe get in to the festive spirit by watching the Rockette’s Christmas Spectacular show at Radio City.

Day 4 Magical Moments
New York is always special whichever month you visit, but December brings with it some unique and memorable New York moments. Young children will be enthralled by meeting Father Christmas at Macy’s Santaland and no one could fail to be delighted by the wonderful Christmas illuminations that adorn the city. Take a walk through frosty Central Park and don your ice skates for a whizz (or slow shuffle!) around the Wollman ice rink as you enjoy the splendid view of Manhattan. For memories to last a lifetime why not spend Christmas Day in New York? Or how about ending the year with a bang by revelling the night away amongst the New Year’s Eve celebrations.

Day 5 Depart New York
Enjoy a final morning in this unique city before you head to the airport in the afternoon for your flight home. There’s surely time to squeeze in a little bit more shopping or take in one more view of that incredible Manhattan skyline!
