Itinerary
Day 1 Hanoi, Vietnam
Arrive in Vietnam’s bustling capital at any time.
Day 2 Hanoi to Halong Bay
Travel to Bai Chay harbour, the entry point to Halong Bay. Board a junk boat and enjoy an overnight cruise around the spectacular islands and caves.
Days 3-4 Halong Bay to Hue
Continue your cruise past beautiful limestone karsts. After lunch travel back to Hanoi before boarding the sleeper train to Hue. Start day 4 with a visit to Thien Mu Pagoda, before calling on the extremely ornate Royal Tombs of Vietnam’s former emperors.
Day 5 Hue to Hoi An
Cross over the Hai Van Pass, with fantastic views in all directions, before arriving in Hoi An late afternoon. Opt for a cooking class, riverboat trip or explore the city by bike.
Days 6-7 Hoi An
Explore all Hoi An has to offer. Dive into the culture, hang out on the beach or get clothes tailormade in one of the many shops around town. Enjoy a noodle making demonstration and lunch at the G Adventures supported Oodles of Noodles.
Day 8 Hoi An to Ho Chi Minh City
Journey to Da Nang for the flight to energetic Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 9 Ho Chi Minh City
Take a guided tour to the Cu Chi Tunnels, a complex network of underground passageways which the Viet Cong used during the war. The afternoon is free to explore the city. Why not visit the War Remnants Museum and the Reunification Palace?
Day 10 Mekong Delta
Board a small boat and navigate through the narrow canals of the Mekong Delta, witnessing local life along the way.
Day 11 Ho Chi Minh City to Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Cross into Cambodia and continue by bus to Phnom Penh. Late afternoon, enjoy a cyclo ride around the city.
Day 12 Phnom Penh
Visit the site of the infamous Killing Fields and Tuol Sleng, the notorious Khmer Rouge prison.
Day 13 Phnom Penh to Siem Reap
After a drive through the Cambodian countryside, arrive in Siem Reap, the base to explore the ancient city of Angkor.
Days 14-15 Siem Reap
Over the next two days, visit the highlights of this ancient capital including the enigmatic Bayon within the walled city of Angkor Thom and Ta Prohm, also known as the ‘Tomb Raider’ temple. Watching the sun rise over Angkor Wat is an experience not to be missed.
Day 16 Siem Reap to Bangkok, Thailand
Journey through the dramatic countryside of Cambodia to vibrant Thailand and its bustling capital Bangkok.
Day 17 Bangkok
Your tour comes to an end after breakfast this morning.
