Thailand Beaches: Bangkok to Phuket

Day 1  Bangkok
Arrive in bustling Bangkok, famous for its tuk tuks, khlong boats and street vendors. Take a wander on the lively streets before a welcome meeting.    

Days 2-3  Bangkok to Ao Nang
Visit Wat Pho, home to Thailand’s largest reclining Buddha. On the evening of day two, take a sleeper train to Surat Thani before continuing by bus to the lively beachside town of Ao Nang. Join an optional cycle ride to a waterfall or simply sit back with a cool cocktail as the sun sets over the sea.    

Day 4  Ao Nang    
This morning enjoy a sea kayaking trip to the mangrove forest and towering karst formations of Ao Thalane. The afternoon is free to read a book or join in an optional activity including a Thai cooking class or a scuba diving session.      

Day 5  Ao Nang to Khao Lak    
Leave the beauty of Ao Nang behind and continue to the coast of Khao Lak. Take a kayak tour en-route to explore the water, limestone cliffs and mangrove forests at Khao Ka Rot followed by a hearty home cooked lunch before continuing on to Khao Lak.

Day 6  Khao Lak    
Enjoy a free day in Khao Lak with options including a visit to Lam Ru National Park and Ton Ching Fa Waterfall or perhaps a day trip to Similan Islands.  

Days 7-8  Khao Lak to Phuket
Stop at a waterfall for a refreshing swim and visit the Gibbon Rehabilitation Centre on the vibrant and energetic island of Phuket. Day eight is free to explore this lively island. Catch a tuk tuk to Patong or Kata, where shops, restaurants and bars await or just relax on the beach.    

Day 9  Phuket
Your adventure ends in the morning.
