Itinerary
Day 1 Lima
Upon arrival transfer to your hotel.
Day 2 Lima
See the highlights of this bustling and historical capital city with a guided tour.
Day 3 Lima to the Peruvian Amazon
Fly to Puerto Maldonado and transfer to your jungle lodge. This afternoon enjoy your first jungle excursion.
Days 4-5 Peruvian Amazon
Explore and discover the incredibly biodiverse Peruvian Amazon. Enjoy shared lodge activities, typically including guided jungle walks and canoe rides.
Day 6 Peruvian Amazon to the Sacred Valley
Fly to Cusco and drive through scenic countryside to the Sacred Valley.
Day 7 Sacred Valley
Shop for handicrafts at Pisac Market and discover the ruins of the impressive Inca citadel of Ollantaytambo on a full day tour.
Day 8 Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu
Sure to be a day to treasure – today you will explore the magical ruins of Machu Picchu, the ‘Lost City of the Incas’!
Day 9 Machu Picchu to Cusco
This morning there is time to explore Machu Picchu at your leisure before returning to Cusco by train and road.
Day 10 Cusco
See the incredible highlights of Cusco with a guided tour.
Day 11 Cusco
You will have the day at leisure to explore this enchanting city.
Day 12 Cusco to Lake Titicaca
Take the Titicaca train to the town of Puno on the banks of Lake Titicaca. Pass through breathtaking scenery on this 10 hour journey.
Day 13 Lake Titicaca
Gain an insight into the lives of local people with a visit to a rural community before cruising to Taquile Island to learn about the traditions of Quechua Peruvians and finally to the unique floating Uros Islands.
Day 14 Lake Titicaca to Colca Canyon
Drive west towards the Colca Canyon. On this scenic journey stop at a lookout over pretty lagoons which are home to Andean flamingos.
Days 15-16 Colca Canyon to Arequipa
Visit Condor’s Cross from where you can fully appreciate the grandeur of this huge canyon and hopefully catch sight of condors soaring overhead. Continue on to the beautiful city of Arequipa.
Day 17 Arequipa
Discover the highlights of Arequipa including the Santa Catalina Convent, a wonderfully preserved 400 year old convent described as a ‘city within a city’.
Day 18 Arequipa to Lima
Today fly back to Lima for your onward travel arrangements.
