Itinerary
Day 1 Lima
Upon arrival transfer to your hotel.
Day 2 Lima
See the highlights of this sprawling and historic capital city with a guided tour.
Day 3 Lima to the Sacred Valley
Fly to Cusco and drive through scenic countryside to the Sacred Valley. En route stop at an Andean textile centre to learn about traditional weaving techniques.
Day 4 Sacred Valley
Shop for handicrafts at Pisac Market and discover the ruins of the impressive Inca site of Ollantaytambo.
Day 5 Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu
Sure to be a day to treasure, explore the magical citadel of Machu Picchu, the ‘Lost City of the Incas’!
Day 6 Machu Picchu to Cusco
This morning there is time to explore Machu Picchu further before returning to Cusco by train and road.
Day 7 Cusco
Tour the highlights of Cusco including the Plaza de Armas, Santo Domingo Church and the Inca fortress of Sacsayhuamán.
Day 8 Cusco
Enjoy a day at leisure to explore this enchanting city.
Day 9 Cusco to Lake Titicaca
Pass through breathtaking and everchanging scenery as you journey south to vast Lake Titicaca.
Day 10 Lake Titicaca
Gain an appreciation of the lives of local people with a visit to a rural community before cruising to Taquile Island. Hear about the traditions of Quechua Peruvians and explore the unique floating Uros Islands.
Day 11 Lake Titicaca to Colca Canyon
Drive west towards the Colca Canyon. On this scenic journey stop at a lookout over picturesque lagoons which are home to Andean flamingos.
Days 12-13 Colca Canyon to Arequipa
Visit Condor’s Cross from where you can fully appreciate the grandeur of this huge canyon and hopefully catch sight of condors soaring overhead. Continue to the pretty city of Arequipa.
Day 14 Arequipa
Discover the highlights of Arequipa including the stunning Santa Catalina Convent, a wonderfully preserved 400 year old convent described as a ‘city within a city’.
Day 15 Arequipa to Lima
Today fly back to Lima for your onward travel arrangements.
