Absolute Peru

Day 1  Lima  
Arrive in Peru’s capital and make your own way to your hotel to meet your fellow travellers.  

Day 2  Lima to Paracas  
Spend a relaxing morning in Lima before travelling by local bus to Paracas, gateway to the Ballestas Islands.  

Day 3  Paracas to Nazca  
Enjoy a morning at leisure or alternatively, take an optional cruise to the Ballestas Islands before continuing south to Nazca, home to one of the world’s greatest archaeological mysteries, the Nazca Lines.  

Days 4-5  Nazca to Arequipa  
Explore the Chauchilla cemetery to find pre-Inca mummified remains, before boarding an overnight bus to Arequipa.  An early arrival on day 5 ensures you have time to explore this colonial town at a relaxed pace.  

Day 6  Arequipa to Colca Canyon  
Leave Arequipa behind and travel to the Colca Canyon, one of the world’s deepest canyons.

Day 7  Colca Canyon to Lake Titicaca  
Enjoy a guided tour of the Colca Canyon, keeping your eyes peeled for Andean condors soaring over the majestic mountains. Later, continue on to Puno on the shore of Lake Titicaca.  

Days 8-9  Lake Titicaca  
Board a boat to explore the stunning blue waters of the lake, before soaking up local life during a village homestay this evening. On day 9 visit the floating islands of Uros before returning to Puno.

Days 10-11  Lake Titicaca to Cusco  
Travel through stunning scenery as you make your way to Cusco. The rest of the day and day 11 is at leisure to discover the city’s colonial architecture, museums and local markets.  

Day 12  Cusco to the Sacred Valley  
Enjoy a guided full day tour of the Sacred Valley and visit the impressive Ollantaytambo ruins.

Days 13-16  Inca Trail  
Embark on the four day Inca Trail hike, ending at the Sun Gate overlooking Machu Picchu. Although this trek is challenging, it is extremely rewarding as you walk in the footsteps of the Incas.

Day 17  Cusco  
After your trek enjoy a day at leisure in Cusco and the chance to relax.

Day 18  Cusco to Amazon Rainforest  
Fly from Cusco to Puerto Maldonado, deep in the lowlands of the Amazon.  Travel by motorised canoe to an exclusive G Adventures lodge in the Tambopata National Reserve.  

Day 19  Amazon Rainforest  
Renowned for its diverse flora and fauna populations as well as over 1,300 bird species, spend today exploring the Amazon with an expert naturalist guide.

Day 20  Amazon Rainforest to Lima  
Enjoy a final morning in the Amazon Rainforest before boarding a flight back to Lima.

Day 21  Lima  
Say farewell to the rest of your group as your tour comes to an end after breakfast.
