Itinerary

Day 1  Algamitas
Arrive in Malaga and transfer to your farmhouse accommodation, not far from the village of Algamitas, deep in the heart of rural Andalucia and the base for your holiday.

Day 2  Villanueva
Explore the local area with a relaxing walk to the neighbouring village of Villanueva. The countryside is picture-perfect with olive trees, rolling hills and farmland. During the walk your tour leader will explain the rural lifestyle and traditions of the area. You may choose to take an optional tapas lunch in the village, before heading back to your accommodation where there’s time to relax by the pool or enjoy a drink on the terrace.

Day 3  Grazalema Mountains
Drive high into the Grazalema Mountains, a lovely biosphere reserve and one of Spain’s most ecologically diverse areas. Famous for rugged limestone cliffs, caves and gorges, walk through the reserve and enjoy the landscape. Eventually, you’ll reach the white village of Benaocraz where your walk ends.

Day 4  Setenil de las Bodegas
The day begins with a walk to the abandoned monastery of Canos Santos where you will enjoy lunch. Afterwards, follow the Ruta de los Molinos through the famous ‘Pueblo Blanco’ of Setenil de las Bodegas. Take time to wonder through the village which was built under the overhanging ledge of a gorge, giving it a unique appearance.

Day 5  Seville
Seville is a magical place and today is free to explore the city at leisure. The highlights of Seville are numerous, but make sure you don’t miss the Alcazar, a beautiful complex of palaces, and the Giralda, an architectural masterpiece dating back to the 12th Century. Enjoy dinner in one of the city’s buzzing restaurants before returning to Algamitas in the evening.

Day 6  El Chorro Gorge & the Caminito del Rey
A short drive away is El Chorro Gorge, a stunning collection of turquoise reservoirs and craggy rock faces. Famous for rugged limestone cliffs, caves and gorges, walk through the Caminito del Rey and enjoy the spectacular scenery.

Day 7  Penon Crag
Take a circular walk today around the impressive Penon Crag that looms large over the surrounding farmland. El Penon is the highest point in the province of Seville at 1,130m and offers dramatic views. Afterwards, stop for some refreshing drinks with views from a panoramic terrace.

Day 8  Algamitas
Your tour ends this morning in Algamitas.

Departs: Selected departures Feb - Dec.
