Itinerary
Day 1 Bergen
Arrive in Bergen and make your way to your accommodation where you’ll meet your tour leader and fellow travellers. Head out on an orientation walk of this charming city.
Day 2 Bergen to Odda
Enjoy some free time this morning to explore Bergen. It’s well worth heading to Bryggen, a small, historic wharf from the Hanseatic times. Afterwards, transfer by ferry and road along the spectacular Hardangerfjord to Odda, your base for five nights.
Day 3 Oddadalen
Known as the ‘Valley of the Waterfalls’, Oddadalen is a wooded ravine, littered with beautiful waterfalls. Enjoy a six mile hike along the Buerdalen valley and climb steep slopes to be rewarded with amazing views.
Day 4 Folgefonna Glacier
Today is a challenging but spectacular day. Strap on crampons and join a local guide in trekking across the frozen landscape of the Folgefonna Glacier for an amazing experience.
Day 5 Odda
Today is at leisure to explore as you please. You may choose to relax in town or there’s optional activities, including bike hire, a kayaking adventure or an exciting zodiac boat ride on the fjord.
Day 6 Trolltunga
Trolltunga is one of Europe’s most scenic hikes and is well worth the 700m climb. Head up on this challenging hike past waterfalls, mountain ridges and lush greenery before reaching the Troll’s Tongue from which you can enjoy incredible views over the Hardangerfjord.
Day 7 Odda to Bergen
Leave Odda and travel back to Bergen where your tour ends.
