Itinerary
Day 1 Paris,
France
Meet with your
fellow travellers and tour leader in Paris.
Day 2 Paris
Paris has something
for everyone. Spend the day exploring the City of Lights starting with
a brief orientation walk. Explore Montmartre and the outstanding museums
and churches. Enjoy a picnic in front of the Eiffel Tower, float down the
Seine on a river cruise or just simply sit back and people watch at one
of the charming cafes.
Day 3 Paris
to Interlaken, Switzerland
Leave Paris behind
and board your train from Paris to Interlaken in the Swiss Alps.
Days 4-5 Interlaken
Take an orientation
walk with your tour leader and get your bearings - there is plenty to do
in Interlaken. Feel free to relax or try optional activities like canyoning
in Interlaken Canyon, hitting the trails for a hike in the Swiss Alps,
or watch the sun set from Harder Kulm. Your tour leader can advise you
on the many options available.
Day 6 Interlaken
to Rome, Italy
Journey by train
to Rome via Milan today. On arrival the rest of the day is free to explore
at your own leisure.
Day 7 Rome
Spend today checking
out the Roman sites like the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Vatican and Pantheon.
In the evening be sure to sample some amazing Italian food, wine and the
nightlife.
Day 8 Rome
to Florence
Explore more of
Rome in the morning and catch glimpses of the Duomo, Piazza Indipendenza
and Ponte Vecchio before heading onto Florence.
Day 9 Florence
Today is a free
day to explore this romantic Renaissance city at your own pace. The food,
art, culture and beautiful views put this outstanding Italian city in a
field of its own. The list of things to see and do is endless.
Day 10 Florence
to Venice
Continue onto
Venice by train. There’s plenty to see and do in Venice - enjoy an orientation
walk along the canals and later take some time to explore the city’s winding
streets at your own pace.
Day 11 Venice
to Ljubljana, Slovenia
Leaving Venice
behind, cross the border into Slovenia and head to the lively city of Ljubljana.
Explore the Ljubjanica River lined with outdoor cafes, or opt to
take a quick trip to nearby Bled.
Day 12 Ljubljana
to Vienna, Austria
Catch the train
this morning onto the incredible city of Vienna, Austria. The rest of the
day is free for you to explore at leisure.
Day 13 Vienna
A free day today
for further exploration of the city. Wander the imperial streets of Austria’s
capital, with its grand buildings, gardens, museums, and tasty pilsner.
After some sightseeing, maybe pop into a café while you decide what to
do next. A delicious café experience involves Gugelhupf, one of Vienna’s
specialty cakes, and a cup of Melange (half coffee, half milk).
Day 14 Vienna
to Budapest, Hungary
Board your train
to Budapest. After a brief orientation walk of the city, the afternoon
is free to explore on your own. Visit the beautiful Parliament building,
stroll along the streets or check out the thermal baths.
Day 15 Budapest
Today is free
to spend as you wish, perhaps opt to cruise the Danube.
Day 16 Budapest
to Krakow, Poland
A free morning
to spend in Hungary’s capital before boarding your overnight train to
Krakow.
Day 17 Krakow
Arrive into Krakow
in the morning and go on an orientation walk of the city. Use your free
time later to visit Auschwitz, travel to see the old salt mines or stay
in the city and explore the Jewish Quarter.
Day 18 Krakow
to Prague, Czech Republic
Today will be
a day of travelling by train, crossing the border to the Czech Republic
arriving into Prague in the afternoon.
Day 19 Prague
Enjoy all Prague
has to offer on a free day of exploration. Check out the Prague castle
complex or walk the cobblestone streets through the old town and Jewish
ghetto.
Day 20 Prague
to Berlin, Germany
Your final train
journey of the trip as you leave Prague and head to vibrant Berlin. An
amazing city with tangible historical importance and a melting pot of different
cultures and flavours. Be sure to check out the nightlife.
Day 21 Berlin
Your tour comes
to an end this morning. Transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
