Itinerary

Day 1  Nice    
Arrive in Nice on the glorious French Riviera. Take a stroll down Promenade des Anglais and pair some delicious local wine with stunning views of the Mediterranean.    

Day 2  Nice    
This morning perhaps take the short train ride to Monaco, enjoying spectacular sea views en route as the train winds its way along the coast. Spend the day soaking up the glamour of Monte Carlo, famous for the prestigious Formula 1 Grand Prix. Peek inside the principality’s legendary casino or visit the amazing Oceanographic Museum with Jacques Cousteau’s yellow submarine!    

Day 3  Nice to Cannes    
Pick up your car and drive inland to the spectacular medieval hilltop village of Saint-Paul-De-Vence, a haven for artists who have flocked there since the 1920s. Meander the walled town, stopping at galleries, studios and museums. Foundation Maeght showcases 20th Century art including Calder, Miró & Chagall, while Matisse’s Chapel of the Rosary is just 15 minutes drive away. Continue to Cannes to peruse designer boutiques and marvel at the luxurious yachts in the harbour.    

Days 4-5  Cannes  
Explore the cobbled paths and cafés surrounding the town square and take a walk through the steep winding streets of Le Suquet, Cannes’ medieval old quarter. A short drive away lies historic Antibes, home to the Picasso Museum. Be inspired on ’Picasso’s Trail’, a rugged coastal walk around areas featured in his iconic works.  

Day 6  Cannes to Avignon    
Take a gentle drive through the rolling hills and stunning scenery of Provence. Maybe make a detour and stop for lunch in the famous beach town of Saint-Tropez.    

Days 7-9  Avignon  
Enjoy a relaxing few days exploring Avignonand the surrounding region. Provence boasts a collection of medieval towns, exceptional galleries and museums and picture-perfect villages as well as a multitude of walking and cycling trails. From May to early August see (and smell) the spectacular lavender fields in bloom.  An hour drive south of Avignon lies Europe’s largest delta, the Carmargue, with wild white horses and 50,000 flamingos.    

Day 10  Avignon to Marseille  
Drive through Provence’s lyrical landscape to Marseille for your last stop.    

Day 11  Marseille    
Known for its beautiful beaches, rich history and vibrant culture, immerse yourself in all this city has to offer.    

Day 12  Marseille    
Head to Marseille airport to drop off your car before your onward flight.
