Itinerary
Days 1-2 Helsinki, Finland
Check in at your hotel before heading off to explore some of Helsinki’s intriguing architecture. Start with a visit to the abstract Oodi library, a fascinating example of modern design. Visit one of the city’s most popular museums, the creative Amos Rex before making your way to Senate Square to see the iconic blue domed Lutheran Cathedral.
Day 3 Suomenlinna Island
Regular ferries shuttle visitors back and forth from Market Square to Suomenlinna Island in the Baltic Sea. In summer relax on one of the grassy cliffs surrounded by fascinating military relics. In winterwhen the sea freezes, brave the deck to watch the boat clear a path through the sea ice on the 20 minute journey.
Day 4 Helsinki to Tallinn, Estonia
This morning take the two hour ferry journey to the Estonian capital of Tallinn. Enjoy the views as you pass through the hundreds of islands of the Helsinki archipelago.
Days 5-7 Tallinn
Start your exploration of Tallinn old Ttown in the Toompea district with some of the city’s most iconic monuments including the Russian Orthodox, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and Toompea Castle. Make your way to the Tallinn TV tower, just a 25 minute bus ride outside the city, and enjoy panoramic views over the Estonian countryside. Spend your final morning wandering through the historic city before heading for the airport for your onward flight.
