Croatia's Wonderful Waterfalls and Historic Walls

Day 1  Zagreb  
Arrive into Zagreb and pick up your car before making your way into the charming cobblestone streets of the city. Explore the upper and lower towns, from the grand Baroque cathedral to the pretty market square. End the day sampling your first taste of delicious Croatian cuisine.  

Day 2  Zagreb to Plitvice Lakes  
Leave the city behind and drive into the countryside to Plitvice Lakes, one of the country’s most famous natural wonders. Enjoy a relaxed evening at your hotel before tomorrow’s adventure.

Day 3  Plitvice Lakes  
Rise early and head for the park gates to enjoy a full day exploring the wonderful scenery of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. 16 lakes feed into each other, linked by a wooden boardwalk, trails and lake cruises. Soak up the sights of clear turquoise waters as you discover this breathtaking national park.    

Day 4  Plitvice Lakes to Zadar  
Drive on to the fascinating city of Zadar, a melting pot of Roman, Venetian and Byzantine history and architecture. Meander through the winding streets and watch the sunset whilst marvelling at the glowing colours of the Monument to the Sun, a unique solar powered dance floor glistening beside the water.  

Day 5  Zadar  
Spend today uncovering the hidden cornersof this enigmatic city. Perhaps hop on a local ferry to Dugi Otok Island, home to one of the few white sand beaches in Croatia, for some relaxing time in the sun beside the crystal clear waters of the Adriatic.    

Day 6  Zadar to Split  
Today, make your way south towards the maze-like city of Split. On the way, visit Croatia’s second most famous waterfalls at Krka National Park, where you can take a refreshing dip in the natural pool below the falls. Continue on to Split airport to drop off your car before heading to your hotel in the heart of the city.  

Day 7  Split  
Enjoy a morning wandering the labyrinth of alleyways and the well preserved ruins of Diocletian’s Palace. This afternoon, your included food tour will introduce you to all the wonderful flavours of this region.    

Day 8  Split  
This morning, take a final stroll through the quaint markets before making your way to the airport for your onward flight.
