Itinerary

Day 1  Soldeu, Andorra
Arrive in Toulouse airport and transfer to your hotel.

Day 2  Salamandres Lake Walk
After breakfast, take your first excursion into Andorra Mountains, drive to Etorn at the base of the stunning Ransol Valley Ridge, climb 250 metres to the Salamandres Lake. There is the opportunity to relax by the lake or if you’re feeling energetic maybe hike up the Ransol Ridge at 2,500m, enjoy stunning views across the Andorran peaks from here. The rest of the day is a gradual descent back down, this is a great way to ease yourself into trekking and to acclimatize to the altitude. Arrive back at your hotel in the afternoon and spend the rest of the day as you wish, you may choose to relax in the sun, explore the village or visit a neighbouring hotel’s spa centre.

Day 3  Cortals Valley
Enjoy a full day of activities in the Cortals Valley, starting with a bike ride on a 6km descent of switch backs, enjoying incredible views. Continue on the only flat off road track in Andorra leading to the Engolasters Lake. Around the lake there are plenty of fun tracks that can be taken, you will normally choose between an easy flat track and a path through the woods. On the other side of the lake you will find the zip wiring and tree top centre. After a short briefing climb up into the trees and then cross the area by mostly zip lines and some rope obstacles. Have a picnic lunch by the lake before getting back on your bikes on a single track route to a bike park, it is a 10km road descent back to Andorra la Vella before getting into a vehicle to Soldeu.

Day 4  Sort, Spain
Cross the Andorran border into Spain where you will encounter a different scenery with a more Mediterranean feel. Drive along a mountain pass of the Port de Canto where your adventure begins at a white water rafting centre. Once you’re all kitted out, the local guides will lead you on an exhilarating 14km white water rafting experience. There are many grades of rapids on the rivers around Sort. After your rafting experience, dry off and either choose to relax in the bar or by the pool before returning back across the border to Soldeu.

Day 5  Soldeu
Today is a free day after the last two days of cycling and rafting, you can choose from many of the optional activities available in Andorra, perhaps go fishing or visit the thermal baths of La Caldea. If you’re feeling energetic and have a good head for heights you can opt for Via Ferrata climbing and canyoning. Or just simply relax and enjoy the sunshine.

Day 6  Soldeu
A day of mountain biking today, once your guides have briefed you, take a short shuttle ride to the start of the picturesque Ransol Valley. From here you will ride with the guide 2.5km of gentle uphill and flat tracks to the end of Ransol Valley, where there is a lovely picnic area with running spring water.  There is the opportunity to take the bikes on a bit more challenging off road section. Return to your hotel for some picnic lunch on the terrace. After lunch head up to the Port Envalira pass, at 2,400m this is the highest road pass in Western Europe, enjoy spectacular views from the top and then it’s a thrilling 10km road and off road descent back to the hotel.

Day 7  Incles Valley
A short walks takes you into the Incles Valley where your hike begins, walk on a single track through forested mountain slopes. Keep your eyes peeled for groups of thickset mountain horses grazing on the high slopes. Continue your climb up to the Cabana Sorda Lake, which sits below an impressive amphitheatre of rock at 2300 metres above sea level. Take a break for lunch whilst here, there is the option to go further up to the peak to enjoy amazing bird’s eye views of the valley if you wish.
