Itinerary
Day 1 Tirana
Arrive in Tirana at any time with the rest of your day at leisure.
Day 2 Theth
Start the day by visiting one of the oldest and most historic places in Albania, the Castle of Rozafa. Journey on into the breathtaking Albanian Alps and Theth National Park (approx. 3 hrs), an area renowned for its rich flora and fauna. After checking into a quaint guesthouse in Theth, set off on a gentle walk through the valley nestled between the wonderful surrounding peaks, gaining an insight into agricultural life as we pass locals going about their day.
Day 3 Theth Valley
Theth Valley is predominantly an agricultural region, where age-old farming practices and horse-drawn carts are still used today. Observe rural life as you begin walking to Grunas Waterfall and then on to Nderlyse where you will find a string of natural water pools and a feature known as the ‘Blue Eye of Kapre' to take a swim in.
Day 4 Valbone
Ascend through forests and alpine pastures to reach the Valbonë Pass (1800m), from where you can take a few moments to enjoy the spectacular views down Valbonë and Theth Valleys. Follow a rocky mountainous trail which will bring you alongside the Valbonë River, passing some beautiful waterfalls along the way.
Day 5 White Circle
The route today takes you through beech and pine forests and onto the 'White Circle', where you will enjoy magnificent panoramic views of the peaks and valleys of the Albanian Alps.
Day 6 Kruje
Take a boat across the beautiful Komani Lake and take in the spectacular scenery whilst winding between high cliffs and towering peaks. Continue to Kruje and enjoy a walk to Kruje Mountain where you will be rewarded with fantastic views of the Adriatic Sea.
Day 7 Berat
This morning travel to Berat for a guided tour of the old district. Walk through the cobbled streets to Berat Castle for more breathtaking views.
Day 8 Berat
Your tour comes to an end after breakfast.
