Itinerary
Days 1-2 Beijing
Soak up the sights and sounds of this atmospheric capital city. Enjoy a full day exploring the city’s historic sites including Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven.
Day 3 The Great Wall
Drive out of the city to the remarkable Great Wall at Mutianyu. Explore this extraordinary structure and its spectacular watchtowers before visiting the Summer Palace en route back to Beijing.
Day 4 Beijing to Xian
Board the bullet train for your journey to Xian, one of China’s oldest cities.
Day 5 Xian
Visit the world famous Terracotta Warriors as well as the ancient Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Later take a stroll around Xian’s colourful Muslim Quarter.
Day 6 Xian to Shanghai
Fly to the vibrant metropolis of Shanghai where Old Shanghai’s winding alleys are nestled among ultra-modern skyscrapers.
Days 7-8 Shanghai
Discover the city and visit some of the highlights, including Jade Buddha Temple, the zen-inspired Yuyuan Gardens and take a walk along the Bund, Shanghai’s historic waterfront. The afternoon is free for some last minute retail therapy before heading back to the airport the following day.
