Itinerary
Day 1 Darwin
Transfer to your hotel before an afternoon tour of the city. Later become acquainted with your tour director and fellow travellers at a welcome dinner.
Day 2 Darwin to Katherine
Travel to the Adelaide River and the Australian war cemetery. Embark on a guided cruise through Katherine Gorge, admiring the coloured walls and learning about the rich flora and fauna. Continue on to the famous outback town of Katherine.
Days 3-7 Katherine to Fitzroy Crossing
Cross into Western Australia and The Kimberley Region. Enjoy a cruise along the Ord River, one of the best cruises in Australia, watching for crocodiles. Travel along the Gibb River Road and visit El Questro Wilderness Park in the heart of The Kimberley, enjoying a swim in the thermal pools at Zebedee Springs.
Days 8-11 Fitzroy Crossing to Karijini National Park
Journey to the historic mining town of Broome. Travel through the vast Great Sandy Desert to Port Hedland and Karratha, filled with sheer gorges and cascading waterfalls.
Days 12-13 Karijini National Park to Exmouth
Explore the Karajini National Park’s waterfalls, rock pools and mighty gorges. Head to the mining town of Tom Price for a guided tour of a mine, nestled deep in the Hamersley Ranges. View the ancient outback landscape as you continue to the coastal town of Exmouth.
Days 14-15 Exmouth to Shark Bay
Enjoy the views of the North West Cape en route to Ningaloo Reef Marine Park. Enjoy a cruise over the stunning reefs with forests of coal and tropical fish.
Day 16 Monkey Mia & Kalbarri
Travel to World Heritage-listed Shark Bay. Hopefully you will see Monkey Mia’s wild dolphins coming to the beach the next morning. Watch sunset over Shark Bay this evening before dinner. Visit Shell Beach, one of only 2 in the world created by billions of tiny shells.
Days 17-18 The Pinnacles to Perth
Travel south with first stop at the Pinnacles, an eerie desert scene of thousands of sandstone pillars, before arriving in Perth. Enjoy a morning city tour before your tour ends with a transfer to the airport.
