Cape Town to Victoria Falls Adventure

Day 1  Cape Town, South Africa
Arrive in Cape Town at any time.

Day 2  Cape Town to Lambert’s Bay
Leave the city behind and visit an education centre, supported by G Adventures, to learn about San culture and history. Continue along the west coast to Lambert’s Bay.

Day 3  Lambert’s Bay to Orange River, Namibia
An early start takes you through isolated communities before arriving at the Namibian border. Journey to Orange River for the chance to swim or simply relax on the water’s edge.

Day 4  Orange River to Keetmanshoop
Explore the beautiful Fish River Canyon before continuing to Keetmanshoop.

Days 5-6  Keetmanshoop to Namib Desert
Continue north to the Namib Desert.  Arrive late afternoon and enjoy your first glimpse of the captivating Sossusvlei sand dunes, before visiting them again the next day.

Days 7-8  Namib Desert to Swakopmund
Cross arid desert on the road to the Namibian coastal town of Swakopmund. Swakopmund is an adventurer’s paradise and day 8 is free to join an optional excursion – perhaps try sandboarding on the dunes!

Day 9  Swakopmund to Etosha NP
Gaze out at the beautiful desert landscape as you travel to Etosha National Park, home to an array of wildlife which may be spotted en route to camp.

Day 10  Etosha NP
Experience a game drive to search for zebra, rhino and giraffe among many other mammals that call this dramatic national park home.

Day 11  Etosha NP to Windhoek
Journey to Windhoek and visit a township restaurant. Enjoy an afternoon to relax or explore the town.

Day 12  Windhoek to Ghanzi, Botswana
Leave the city and travel to the beautiful Kalahari Desert. Take an optional walk with San Bushmen and learn the survival skills needed in this extreme environment.

Days 13-14  Ghanzi to Okavango Delta
Journey to Maun, before transferring in a traditional canoe to reach a simple bush camp in the Okavango Delta. Enjoy a full day exploring this watery wonderland and look for the resident wildlife.  

Day 15  Okavango Delta to Nata
Wake early for a beautiful sunrise, before travelling back to Maun by canoe. Continue to Nata.  

Day 16  Nata to Kasane
Sit back and enjoy the scenery as you travel to Kasane and perhaps take a sunset safari in Chobe National Park.

Days 17-18  Kasane to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
Opt to head out on an early morning boat safari on the Chobe River, before crossing the border into Zimbabwe. Visit the unforgettable thundering Victoria Falls before your tour ends on the morning of day 18.
