Trailfinders' Cathal Teague gives an insight into Villa Oniria
Villa Oniria Expert Review
Cathal Teague
I really enjoyed my stay at Villa Oniria. As described, the hotel is tucked away on a small side street yet is in the heart of everything. You can reach all parts of the city on foot including the Alhambra within 45 minutes - there is no better way to see Granada.
Villa Oniria is charming. The hotel is an old 19th century mansion which was renovated with old Andalusian palaces in mind. Avant-garde, luxury and design; the logo on the hotel’s website sums it up. The rooms are tastefully decorated and spacious. The staff were very helpful and polite. The breakfast was just fabulous; lots of local tapas style dishes to try as well as your normal breakfast spread. One of the real highlights of this hotel is the outdoor garden and restaurant - Onirico. At nighttime, the garden is surrounded with fairy lights and candles making it a very special place to enjoy divine cuisine.
I would highly recommend this property.
Top tip: book a table in the hotel’s restaurant, Onirico. It's not cheap but the food is gorgeous.
