Trailfinders' Peter Duckworth gives an insight into Anantara Palazzo Naiadi Rome Hotel
Anantara Palazzo Naiadi Rome Hotel Expert Review
Peter Duckworth
I had a fantastic stay at the Anantara Palazzo. The staff looked after us from the moment we checked in; guest relations, the bar staff, the concierge - they were all brilliant!
We stayed in a Junior Suite which was very spacious and luxurious! I would definitely recommend including breakfast in your stay as it was a good buffet, as well as a la carte. There’s lots of history in the building itself, so it’s a lot more interesting than a standard chain hotel for a stay in Rome.
The location of the hotel is very good for airport access and there is a metro station literally 20 metres from the front of the hotel so this was very handy. We walked pretty much everywhere and the hotel is in a good location for the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and Colosseum. There’s also lots of nice restaurants in walking distance (make sure to ask the concierge at the hotel where to eat Italian food - they recommended local places which we loved!).
Overall we had a great stay and we would go again!
Top tip: make sure you go down to the basement to see the Baths of Diocletian, which the hotel is built above.
