Trailfinders' Donna Ratcliffe gives an insight into Ikos Dassia
Ikos Dassia Expert Review
Donna Ratcliffe
Ikos Dassia is one of the best all-inclusive hotels in Europe. The focus of food and drinks is incredible, the choice and quality really stand out and is on par with high standard Caribbean hotel. The menu is vast and they have vegan/vegetarian options if required. All restaurants have extensive wine lists which are all included, and a specific wine can be sent to your room or requested to be added to your minibar.
All the restaurants are equal in service and food standards, and even the room service was fantastic; I would recommend a breakfast on your balcony in front of the ocean at least once.
The location of the hotel is fantastic, on a quiet stretch of beach. There are lots of facilities for all ages, babysitting and kids clubs, and a park and waterpark for children. There’s a range of classes and activities offered, from yoga to CrossFit, tennis classes and football tournaments. Enrol in a wine tasting class, take out a kayak or paddleboard, or partake in some watersports.
We pre-booked and took out a Tesla for the day, it was a very simple process and it was great to get to explore the island. Note that this must be pre-booked online before your stay; some guests didn't do this and missed out on the opportunity. The hotel also provides a shuttle to Corfu Town which runs almost every 30 minutes and is a great morning activity.
