Hilton Tulum Riviera Maya

Hilton Tulum Riviera Maya is a great hotel in a lovely bay north of Tulum. It has a great lobby with views over the ocean and the pool so great first impressions. It is a large hotel, so it does feel busy at times but never overcrowded.

We arrived too early to check into our room but they allowed to start using the all inclusive which was great. The rooms are large, bright and airy with a mini bar they restock daily with water and beers. We had no view but a little terrace with a small hedge where the ocean was just beyond that, so it offered a nice bit of privacy.

There was a lot of offer food wise. The buffet never felt too busy and had a good range on offer every day. The best ones we tried were the Mexican (Maxal), and the Asian (Noriku), both being great experiences and incredible food. The concierge at the front lobby can help in getting the restaurants booked in for you as the hotel is so large the à la carte ones do book up fast. You also have access to your Hilton account online by scanning the QR code on your room key so you can book restaurants, spa treatments, see the activity schedule and order room service all through this as well which was very handy.

The hotel has plenty of pools, with a few pool bars as well where the staff constantly walk around in case you need anything. The main pool has a DJ most days as well as some activities on through the week which are all displayed in the lobby. There is a quieter kid’s zone pool at one end of the resort ideal for families. The hotel is very large so there are golf buggies that go every ten minutes or so to take you around the resort.

I would recommend this hotel for couples looking for a more lively hotel close to Tulum, or even groups of friends or families.
