Trailfinders' Hannah Dobbs gives an insight into Victoria & Alfred Hotel
Victoria & Alfred Hotel Expert Review
Hannah Dobbs
The location of the Victoria & Alfred Hotel is amazing! This was my first trip to Cape Town and it felt so safe wandering around the waterfront both in the day and at night. The Robben Island gateway pier was only a five minute walk away also.
The service levels and quality of the interior exceeded my expectations. We stayed in a Loft Room which I was pleasantly surprised by as it was lovely and spacious. The bathroom also had a separate walk-in shower in addition to a tub.
The hotel has a restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating that always seemed popular throughout the day with locals having drinks or lunch. It was great to be able to eat breakfast outside with amazing views of Table Mountain and watching sealions bobbing up and down in the bay.
This is a fantastic property for those who want a convenient and comfortable base as part of a busy Cape Town itinerary.
