Kwando Lagoon

Perched on the banks of the Kwando River beneath towering ebony and marula trees lies the intimate Kwando Lagoon camp. The wooded site is home to a wide variety of birds and mammals and elephant and hippo are normally visible from camp during the drier months (May – Oct) when animals are drawn to the water to drink. The area has also gained a reputation for great sightings of wild dogs. The camp has a charming thatched main area with a bar and lounge area, a lovely outdoor deck with a swing, communal dining area, shop and a cosy second-level library overlooking the river. There is also a plunge pool. Activities include game drives, walking safaris, night drives, fishing (Mar – Dec) and boat cruises. Each of the eight expansive tents has a private deck offering picturesque views over the river, spacious living area and a bathroom with indoor and outdoor shower plus a bathtub.
