So, what does Morocco have to offer?

One of the first places that comes to mind when people talk about Morocco is the city of Marrakech. Known as ‘the Red City’, the former capital of Morocco is a destination worthy of your attention. From the labyrinthine streets of the Medina to the hustle and bustle of Jemaa El-Fnaa Square - home to street food vendors, snake charmers, and entertainers - the city offers a true mix of old and new.

The Medina, also known as the Old Town, is home to traditional Riads (Moroccan houses with open courtyards offering an authentic experience). You’ll find iconic sites such as the Bahia Palace, the Koutoubia Mosque, and the Ville Nouvelle, a newer part of the city that offers modern boutiques and trendy restaurants like Safran by Koya. Marrakech is truly a city with something to offer everyone, whether you're seeking history, culture, or contemporary flair.

Next, we travel north to discover the hidden turquoise gem of Chefchaouen. This picturesque town with its many shades of blue offers a unique experience for those who like to venture off the beaten path. Nestled in the foothills of the Rif Mountains, Chefchaouen has a small-town charm yet a big personality. Perfect for wanderlust seekers, its narrow, blue-walled, cobbled streets are ideal for getting lost in, and there are plenty of photo opportunities along the way.

But Chefchaouen is not just about beauty; it's steeped in history, too. The best way to experience the city is with a local guide who can share fascinating insights about its past and present. For instance, the architecture of the Kasbah in the main square of Chefchaouen helped inspire other magnificent sites, such as the Alhambra Palace in Granada. Be sure to also sample the local delicacies, including Pastilla and various homemade sweets and biscuits.

If you’re a nature enthusiast, ask your guide about the nearby hikes that will take you higher into the mountains, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes and the city below.
