In this series, we share recent experiences had by Trailfinders staff on their personal holidays. Whether it’s a unique place to stay or an interesting region to visit, you’ll get inspiration from those who have been.

This edition sees Anna Szczepanska from our Product Team discuss her recent trip to Spain.

Where?

Anantara Villa Padierna Palace Benahavís Marbella is located in picturesque Andalucía in the south of Spain boasting a backdrop of breathtaking mountains. The property offers a complimentary shuttle to an incredible sandy beach only a short drive away.

Costa del Sol can be explored any time of the year thanks to its Mediterranean climate with hot and dry summers and mild winters.

I would recommend booking this stunning hotel as part of our popular Classic Andalucía & Beach holiday where you explore Granada, Córdoba, Seville, and Ronda with a relaxing beach break at the end.

Why go?

This gorgeous hotel boasts an elegant terracotta façade and features over 1,200 pieces of remarkable art. Surrounding the hotel are three golf courses designed to complement the hotel’s beautiful greenery. There is also an exclusive lounge in the clubhouse where golf enthusiasts can enjoy post round cocktails.

Anantara Villa Padierna Palace’s dining options provide high-level gastronomy and immaculate service. Overlooking spectacular gardens with a lovely décor, La Veranda offers delicious outdoor dining. I also really enjoyed 99 Sushi Bar & Restaurant, one of only 7 venues in the world and my incredible al fresco meal with the views of the golf course.

This is definitely an ideal place for those wanting to experience pure luxury within the hotel.

Top tip?

Visit the charming Marbella town located only a 20-minute drive away.  Marbella old town has lovely, narrow streets packed with cafés, restaurants, and boutique shops. There is also a beachfront promenade with fantastic seafood restaurants.
