Embrace la dolce vita and treat yourself to fabulous week in Puglia, situated in the heel of Italy’s boot, meeting both the Adriatic and Ionian Seas.

Famous for its olive oil and red wine production, in addition to its cities full of old-world charm, Puglia also has the longest stretch of coastline in Italy, making it a great choice for those seeking a stylish beach break paired with marvellous history and culture.

Day 1: Matera

After touching down in Bari, pick up your car before driving to Matera, located just beyond the Puglia border. Matera, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is full of magical alleyways, courtyards and viewpoints. After settling into your hotel, sip a refreshing Aperol Spritz from your balcony, taking in the vista.

Day 2: Matera

Follow in the footsteps of James Bond’s most recent cinematic adventure in No Time to Die, getting lost down charming streets in Italy’s city of stone. In the afternoon, visit the incredible 9,000 year old cave houses that reflect the historical way of life in the area.

Day 3: Matera

After a leisurely morning, admire the city’s unique architecture with a visit to some of the impressive cave churches of Matera, impressively built into the stone, rather than from it. Step inside for some respite from the heat and wonder at the frescoes inside. Afterwards, enjoy a gelato in the delightful Piazza Vittorio Veneto.

Day 4: Alberobello

Rise early to visit the enchanting town of Alberobello, seemingly straight out of a fairy-tale. A day trip here will be absorbed by discovering the famous Trulli buildings, with their incredible limestone bases and conical roofs. There is even a trullo church which takes on this unique architectural style. Arrive at your resort in Fasano for the evening.
