Days 1-2: Delhi
Welcome to India! Arrive at Delhi Airport and transfer to your hotel where the rest of the day will be at leisure.
The next day head out on a half day tour of Delhi’s highlights, including the country’s largest mosque, the gardens of Humayun’s Tomb and Old Delhi’s thriving bazaars.
Day 3: Agra
Head south by road to Agra for a guided tour of the magnificent Taj Mahal. Marvel at the shimmering white marble-clad domes as you enjoy a tour from an expert of this iconic monument before continuing to the impressive Agra Fort nearby.
Day 4-5: Ranthambore NP
Rise early for a second visit to the magnificent Taj Mahal, but this time at sunrise. Begin your journey south to Ranthambore NP with a stop en route to admire the incredible sandstone palaces and temples of the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri.
Enjoy early morning and afternoon game drives through the scenic landscapes of this former maharajas' hunting ground. If you’re lucky, you may catch a glimpse of one of its elusive tigers.
Day 6-8: Jaipur
After a final game drive, head by road to Jaipur, often referred to as the ‘Pink City’ thanks to its distinctly coloured buildings. Enjoy an early morning journey up to the palatial Amber Fort, before returning to the city for a fascinating tour of its many historical landmarks, including the Palace of the Winds and the Royal Observatory.
The next day is free for you to relax and have a lie-in! Alternatively, why not take a magical early morning balloon ride or learn to cook with a local family?
Day 9-10: Jodhpur
Today head west across the desert towards Jodhpur, famous for its many blue painted buildings.
A morning sightseeing tour of this historic city starts with a visit to the spectacular Mehrangarh Fort, one of Rajasthan’s best preserved hilltop fortresses. Continue to the white marble cenotaph of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II before enjoying a walk around the city’s colourful market.
Day 11-12: Udaipur
After breakfast, continue your journey by road to the beautiful lakeside city of Udaipur. Enjoy a half day city tour including stops at the imposing City Palace and the Jagdish Temple.
Finish the day with a relaxing boat trip on the glistening waters of Lake Pichola and take in the views of the unbelievably romantic Taj Lake Palace.
Day 13: Journey Ends or Extend Your Stay
Today your Rajasthan adventure comes to an end. Transfer to the airport for your journey home, or extend your holiday with a relaxing stay on one of India’s southern beaches.
